Hi all,

Here's my effort. Nabbed in a 5-second gap between clouds.

As I don't have access to my full frame Canon's and the CCD would have been no use for this, I used my wife's 50D. Giving the equivalent field of view of 1,360mm.

No colour adjustments -- pretty much as is out of the camera.

Takahashi FSQ-106N, Takahashi Extender-Q 1.6x, Canon EOS-50D
1.3s f/8 850mm at iso640

Edit: compressed to 67% in Photoshop's Save to Web feature, has induced a fair amount of artefacts. Oh, well.

Yep, David, such is life stuck with an APS-C camera while I wait for mine to come home! :)

The original image is a bit less noisy -- the compression to post on IIS hasn't helped matters.
