171297just back from a drive to jabiru in the kakadu park, very hot its the beginning of build up so the birds are concentrated around the remaining water holes and managed to get a couple of leichhardts grass hopper as well

Hi Brad,
Thanks for posting this portfolio of beautiful shots.
I call Kakadu the "East Africa of Australia" and the bird life around those
billabongs is one of the jewels in the crown of this spectacular park.

Wow. Really like all of them Brad but esp the one with the 3 birds warding off the raptor. Very nice.

Thanks guys i have many many images to sort so i will post a few more over the next few weeks. Yes wayne i am moving to ellalong in the 2nd week in November, hoping for nice dark skies i will be in john street, so next year will have a couple of nights with a few members of Newcastle astro society, so you will have to drop in. here are a couple more and one of the fish/food the seaeagles were trying to scare the brolga,s off
