Hi all,

we had some high cloud early on but that dissipated an hour or so after sunset. Some airglow about too and had I known Aurora visible to the south.

Was really nice to get out and see the event. I watched the last couple of minutes through a set of binoculars which was really awesome. Never done that before and will do it again next time.

Man that's a funky widefield. It almost has the look (if it weren't for so many stars) of a solar eclipse.

well executed - i tried something similar but lacked the skill and time - was tinkering with too many cameras

Yes it does give that impression. I did mask in a less bright image of the moon and this is probably creating that illusion. My aim was to show what I actually saw. The outer halo should not be there of course.
