We were lucky in Mackay the weather was a perfect warm t shirt evening. Clouds and fog rolled in but only after the end of totality. Here is a pic taken with my 10" f4.7 eq newt. Managed to catch the occultation of the 6.7 mag star HIP 4559 (at the bottom of the image)

Thanks Marc, Kevin and Josh. We were set up on the grassed area below the Slade point lookout with deck chairs and table, enjoying the event. The "lookout" would be lucky to park a dozen cars, but there would have been a hunded cars trying to get up there, quite amusing.
Ps Josh, had a look at your pics, they look overexposed ?, the camera might be ok.

Thanks h0ughy, it was a bigger effort but I am glad I took the "big rig", bigger aperture = better resoultion, though even with the 10" I was shooting at 1 sec @ iso 800.
Rick
Great images Rick, it sure was a sweet view we were very luck with the weather.
