dark sites in Perth

Hi all I was wondering if anyone in Perth I'm in south of the river area knows were a fairly new to the hobby bloke might catch up with other astrophotographers or groups of observers at good dark sights.
I'm tired of light pollution and trees so just thought I might ask the question.
Any information appreciated.

There's a couple of spots about an hour or so out towards Brookton and York. Unfortunately we used to have a great site at Talbot - but the community hall is off limits now. If you're completely self contained and don't need mains power there's a gravel scrape that's occasionally haunted by a few big dobs out towards York. Anyway - lots of options, but you need to drive for an hour at least.

Hi I used to run a site at Jarrahdale, it has now been taken over and I believe that ASWA run a site at Jarrahdale and Serpentine too.
