I noticed Andrews has updated the pricing on the website along with delivery info on some stock. The GS10" imaging newt I had my eye on has gone up $50 overnight (an 8.3% increase), others more but none went down.

I guess it had to happen as a result of the AUD falling (or that will be the excuse) but in a perfect world you'd think it would not apply until existing stock was exhausted that was bought at much more favourable rate. Perhaps it sits in a bonded warehouse and is ony paid for as extracted but at what terms I wouldn't know.

I noticed Orion refractor prices rising at Bintel too.

Even if they had stock, with the falling Aust dollar they still need to raise prices or they are effectively loosing money. Your profit is not just what you bought something for and resell, but also what is needed to restock. If what you resell an item for doesn't cover the the cost if restocking, there is no more business. So if a supplier who's business with them is governed by an exchange rate, things can get very hairy very quicly. Dealing in precious metals is exactly the same as it is an international market subject to the vagaries of exchange rates. Not a simple equation.

Claude is honouring old stock prices - well, at least on my TSA-102.

Never bought anything but 2 adapters from Andrews.
