A nice high moon on the evening of Oct 5th. Three features stood out so I made some pics of them. All single exposures with a canon 550d camera thru a Meade 10" LX600 scope. Can you recognise:
1. Gassendi and Mare Humorum.
2. Copernicus and Kepler (at bottom).
3. Schiller (elongated) and Tycho (inc. rays).
Thanks for viewing.

Hi ted, No have not tried movie mode yet. Stills are keeping me busy and are good enough. Cheers, JW.

Nice shots!
Your image of Tycho / Schiller happens to be almost the same framing and resolution as mine http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=126958 , but yours is shot 1 day earlier. (Mine was taken on the evening of 6 October in Brisbane.)
I love looking at the subtly different details around the terminator in particular - e.g. craters in your shot that have pitch-black basin floors, but with a brightly illuminated far-side rim, but a day later, there's a bit of detail on the crater floor, central peaks are showing up, etc.
I never get tired of this!
(And no, I'm not fishing for compliments about my own efforts here!)
