Hi all,
very first photos with 8se tonight using starsense, canon 7d, 6.3 reducer and no filters.

Both were 4 subs of 10 seconds with 5 darks. Moon was past half and the seeing was very bad. I could just make out scorpius. Used deep sky stacker and just used very basic linked rgb and increased saturation to add a bit of colour.

First is 47 Tuc and I cannot remember what the 2nd photo was.

Regards
Kon

I'm amazed at the detail you achieved with only 4 x 10 seconds, and a 3/4 moon as well! Very well done!

Great first images Kon.

Looks like the 2nd glob is NGC 6752 in Pavo.

Thanks, the camera was unmodded and used iso 2000. What I learn't with the 8se is once slewing to a object, do not take a photo straight away but let the gears engage due to backlash, then take photo. Have alot to learn.

I always just assume that my first exposure is going to be rubbish. I actually take the time to check each frame individually now before registering and stacking them in DSS. I think there is some minor improvement from generally not including frames that don't match up to the others.
