Before i commit to purchase a video camera for astronomy with my 4" refractor, I am wondering what users support can be had in Australia

Haven't seen many images on this forum with one. There's a few Gstars around. There's more on cloudy nights if you want to check there.

I used to do a lot of video astronomy using g star , Samsung scb 4000 and Samsung scb 2000 and found a lot of help available on yahoo groups like videoastronomy group. You will find that with videoastronomy there are advantages in quick no nonsense capture without the worry of accurate polar alignment . How ever post processing is quite important to remove artifacts and dark rings around stars , I suggest you get photoshop and Noel carboni's astronomy photoshop actions ( about $20-$30 download).
