Keeping on filling my imaging catalogue of all the supernova remnants reached with my equipment. This is the time of Barnard's Loop, a supernova remnant visible in the direction of the constellation Orion. I imaged this with my trusty modified Canon 450D, also using the h-alpha filter by Astronomik for HRGB composition.
As always I look forward to your comment.

Lovely capture, Nicola. Nice to see the loop in relation to the whole constellation.

Cheers,

Wonderful image Nicola. You even have the Witch head nebula as well.

Wow
The things you learn
I knew there was a couple nebula in Orion but didn't know the whole thing is still in the remnant of a super nova

Really nice image Nicola. I have been working on a similar image this week but doubt mine will be as deep as this. Very nice amount of data, well done!

Thanks very much to everyone, I am glad you like it.

@cometcatcher: yes, along with other reflections on the way between the Witch and Mintaka. I still have to catch a perfect night to image the Witch with the FSQ though....:-/

@Regulus: you're more then welcome to use it...provide me you pay me 1000 EUR/day+VAT ihihihihih

@PeterEde: yes, some nice small nebulas are visible in the frame with a fiar amount of detail despite the short focal, for example VdB38, the Boogie Man and M78. Still target would like to frame with a longer focal length...

Marvellous!

That's about all that could be said. Love that you got the Witche's head in there too.

Deep and beautiful image Nicola. I especially like the bright, colourful red you have used for the H-alpha. A lot of people these days make it look very brown, the red is a nice change.

Great looking wide photo Nicola.

So much detail and so many objects.

Thanks also to Garbz,LightningNZ and Ross G, glad you like it! Yes I also prefer that kind of red for H-alpha, but not always I am able to get it.
