...or Triangulum or Pinwheel galaxy, M33... :D
Through the eye of the Zenithstar and Canon 1100D (unmodded), on an unguided EQ6.
Likewise a combo of subs from Bretti (15x3m) and Wiruna (12x5m) for total of 1h45.
I've quite enjoyed tinkering with this one so far, but it looks like I could use more subs... :eyepop:

Nice pic, lots of detail there.
It's a large galaxy visually but has a low surface brightness. Had a go at it last year with the 4" refractor but looking forward to trying again with the 10" newt. this year. (just a few more trees to trim)

Thanks Rick! I'll look forward to that then, my little scope has limitations :D
While imaging I was sat looking at it through binoculars and it sure is large and faint. It was only reaching 25 degrees altitude down here, but the sky was decent on both occasions.

That's a good pic. M33 has low surface brightness. You can't have too many subs for it.

Good job Dunk, looks like it could use a little more colour though.

Good effort Dunk. I've never had a go at M33 before. It seems like a very tough target to get much out of thanks to the very low surface brightness.

Thanks chaps! No doubt I'll have another stab once I can get more subs...I agree raymo, looks like it needs more colour :confused2:

That's a good M33 Dunk!
Some nice detail coming through, you will need more data for sure to bring up the colour.
I's very like NGC 300 to process.
You could try to push it but you just end up with colour noise on the outer spiral arms.
Here's my M33 from last year.

This is 112minutes of data, needs more but might be handy to compare since your using the same unmodded camera.
Cheers,
Justin.

Thanks Justin!
Lovely pic of yours, lots of colour for such a similar exposure length. Was that taken with your 8"?
