A few fungi from the past week. Not a lot about at this time of year but, since it is my first year photographing them, I am interested to see which types prefer the hotter, dryer weather.
Mainly brown ones so far! But this is the bit of colour I have managed to find amung the dun

Lovely collection of photos.
What are those round red ones in #5?

Ascomycota Morton, but I still haven't got the full ID on them.
There are not enough books on Australian Native Fungi, and given the vast diversity, the books are just showing a sample of the most commonly seen.
The ascomycetes group have some wonderful colourful members but can be quite small. and easily missed, e.g. The ones here are not more than 4mm across.
I have added a picture here from this morning of a group I found, as well as a Discinella terrestris I took early September.

I have finally gotten an ID on the red ones. They are Scutellinia scutellata - Eyelash Fungi. Appropriate.

Thanks Bob. Yes that Clavaria corallinorosacea seems to have fallen down on the job :-)
