The seeing was a tragedy...hence much post processing required.

Pixinsight to the rescue! :)

No biggie....PI's wavelet routines are better than Registax etc. ;)

Good stuff. Apparently PI Drizzle integration works for solar and lunar as well. Are you using that (http://pixinsight.com/forum/index.php?topic=7214.0)already?

PS: had a bit of fun and uploaded a little stereo view. If you cross your eyes hard enough and focus on the middle ball, just past the major headache you should start seeing things. ;)

Ta Marc..... PI drizzle would probably have no effect as I am already oversampling by a good margin. Think I need a bigger stereo-pair for that 3D effect to work for me.

We aim to please :)

Looks like a really good disk to me Peter with the highlights nicely controlled from exposure through to processing. I note a smoother, more liquid look in this image. I like this look. Is this from noise control or the change in wavelets?

Thanks Ted....

No noise-reduction filters, but I have taken to applying flats and darks to my imaging runs these days.

Also I've found PI's wavelets give a nice smooth result.
