My first attempt at this Nebula. Taken at Linden with a Celestron C11. F6.3 Focal reducer. Modded Canon 1100D. 60 Subs at 30 secs each.

Very nice; it actually looks like a different nebula
with a modded camera.

Thanks. I am very happy with it. I managed to enhance the Outer Nebula without blowing out the centre. The Centre is very bright. Not sure about the colour balance though, but it's ok.

Superb detail. A great image. Careful of black point clipping around the edges though.
Wow Charles your going to give me arpeture fever at this rate. Great image of a beautiful nebula. Well done mate.

Thanks for the positive responses.
It is nice. The seeing got a lot better late in the night. Or early morning I should say. This was the last object for the night. I did 10 subs at a time cleaning the dew off the correcter plate each time. I had severe dew problems. I think my Dew controller has died. The Heaters didn't feel warm. I need to check it out and probably build my own. I need to do the Grus Triplet again with better skies.

Awesome image Charles,
I should go to Linden and meet you guys some time. I'm only a few minutes away in Bullaburra. I do hate moving my mount though. I still haven't got the PA perfect since taking my setup out to Wiruna earlier in the year.
Bruce.

I am quite happy with this one. Probably one of my better images so far.
Visitors are welcome on some nights. Their is a $10 charge though for visitors. If you check out the WSAAG web site it shows the dates of the meetings.
