'My Skies', taken from about a 100M from my house, On the 26/9/14 (yesterday) at around 8:30pm. It is a 26 image panorama captured with a Fuji X100, with 25 second exposures at ISO 6400. I was happy to capture the meteor in the Milky Way, and also the ISS passing though to the right of the zodiacal light.

Thanks a lot for your comments! Appreciated

I reckon this would probably be my best nightscape image so far, pretty happy with it.

looks a tad muddy on the right, a few bright lights to contend with there, oh bugger it, i am envious of the great sky vista

I took another pano this morning

This one shows the sky pointing east, hope you like it.

Same setup and capture details as the last one.

Jo,

Amazing !!!!!

What stitching software did you use and how much post processing.

If I could do this I reckon I'd won the lottery.

Once again ...... Amazing :eyepop:

Great work Jo. That camera really shows up the Ha regions well. Especially like the east view featuring the Orion arm. Don't see that region in pano form often and I must admit I have never done a full 180 in that direction.

Wish my sky was like that.

Sublime

Thanks Greg and Peter

Thanks Paul,

I used the free program called Hugin for stitching on the Mac, with only a small amount of post processing (mainly contrast) in Aperture.

I love hugin. I'm going to have to take my X100 with me next time I'm out.

They are just gorgeous, I'm jealous of your skies and abilities!

Thank you Joshua and Nicholas

If you going to take a few nightscapes with the X100, I have found it can make the skies way to blue/magenta, so I set the WB on 4000K and the WB shift on -7 Cyan and -2 Yellow. This gets every thing looking pretty good I reckon.
