View Full Version here: : M31 with toy camera
I thought I would try out my new Fuji XM1 on some difficult low northern objects, this is the first. Pleased I could image this under less than ideal conditions with wind , smoke and awfull seeing.
Taken with Orion mn190 f5.3 and Fuji xm1 10 x 10 minutes @ 1600 iso.
Clear skies Ken.

sweet! I see some nice nebulosity in there, well done
Thanks Simon and Peter, this has been on the to do list forever but poor weather has almost beaten me again. Osc came to the rescue when these objects are only above the northern horizon for a short time.
Clear skies Ken.

Looks good, Ken! It's a tricky target from Oz and even more so from the South.

These seem to be beautiful cameras.
It's a very nice image Ken, given the 'toy' you used ;-)
Very nice detail Ken.

Thanks for the kind words Rick and Andrew, Ian sorry to hear your Atik is still in Europe for repair hope it comes back soon. Trevor thanks also I am really impressed with this tiny camera seams there is nothing it cant do well including running most of the night on one battery.
Clear skies Ken

I love photos of M31.
Great shot Ken.
The "toy" camera is doing good!
Ross.
Thanks Ross I also like M31 especially the old b&w photos, guess its what we perceive a galaxy should look like.
The toy camera continues to impress me with low noise and good colour all for low cost can not complain.
Clear skies Ken.
