Very nice picture Peter. You really managed to pull a lot of the blue reflection nebula out given the fairly short overall exposure - that says to me that your processing was excellent. Well done. :)

That's a really good image for 13 minutes. I agree with Cam, the processing is excellent. The stars are tight, the field is even and the background is just right, not black clipped etc. Good job.

Cheers for the feedback and nice feedback it is.
I have found the zenith quite full of interesting bits and bobs. Just get a sore back bending over for them ;)

Great image Peter.
Just curious, but is that pink glow at the bottom from sensor noise? The type that some bias frames will fix? I get the same thing with my DSLR and I've only just started taking bias, flat and dark frames to help with my processing.

Thanks Nathan
I'm thinking the glow is just nebulosity. The area is one giant glowing patch :)
this shot is all lights. No subs, no bias, no darks

That's good Peter!
You've brought out quite a bit of detail for short exposures.
How long can you expose for with your EQ3?
Cheers,
Justin.

Thanks guys
I managed 90 sec last night on the Trifid.
I need a reticle ep or a polar scope if it's useable where I live?
It's ok to guess where the CSP is but a guess is not really consistent
