I cant help myself:D:D, i thought i wouldn't do it but I have to share the event that happened on Friday. in a nutshell she ended up being top of the school for her graduation day at school. Not only that but she got a whole swathe of awards - i know not what for (my ignorance):help:, one including a $5000 scholarship study award to trip overseas as part of her course:eyepop:- what ever she does at uni as an undergraduate. like most year 12 students she is knuckling down for the final onslaught to the HSC. I will be glad when it finishes - and sad as a whole part of her life will be changing - now i feel old.

so to all those parents out there with their kids now doing the HSC - I wish them well and every success

thanks Jen - the up side has been she rarely asks me for help - too thick and out of touch with all they are learning. that's my excuse and i am sticking with it

Congratulations to your daughter, David! This doesn't happen by accident, parents establish the right environment and encourage the discipline required. So congratulations to you and your wife as well

Well done. Glad to see the school celebrating academic achievement and not just extra-curricular stuff.

Excellent news Dave !
Congratulations to Steph and to you and Tania.

Great to see results like these, makes it all worthwhile.
And so you should be proud, these things just don't happen, she's obviously got good parents that care about and nurture these qualities in a child.

Well done!

Congratulations to your Daughter! Like at my house it is called hybrid vigor...mix a purebred with a mutt and you can get some outstanding traits in the offspring...

Cant get better than what Scott said above - my daughter is a smart mut:rofl: thanks RB and Marc - only get one chance to get the mold right, funny how they all have a crack ;)

My wife is the real driving force - if Steph got my prowess she would get nowhere fast, confused and lost track of where to go:lol:
