The following observations were made from home (light polluted) on Sunday night August 20, 2006. 20 x 80 triplet binoculars.
Usuals observed: NGC4755 Jewel casket, and C80 Omega Centauri, etc.
NGC5617: Open cluster about 1/4 way from alpha to beta Cen. Looks good in 20 x 80s.
C83, NGC4945: Galaxy, just visible with direct vision. Clear with averted vision.
NGC4945A: Not visible. star visible with averted vision?
NGC4976: Not visible. star visible with averted vision?
C77, NGC5128: easily visible in 20 x 80s. Studied the star path from Omega Cen. to make it easy to find and identify in future.
Delta Cen: multiple star easily split in 20 x 80s.
IC2602, C102 Southern Pleiades: spectacular on 20 x 80s. perfect instrument for this.
