Hi,

I've always wanted to image NGC 7000 and M 31 from my observatory but the it's a bit of challenge.
M31 is only visible for 15 minute between the observatory and tree's and skims the tree tops at 10 degrees.
I used the 80 to 300 zoom at 200 for this shot, image is cropped.
For NGC 7000 I used the nifty fifty lens, image again slightly cropped.

Can say I've ticked them off the list.:P

Cheers,

Justin.

Very nice for very challenging low objects.

Hi Justin,

I really like the image of NGC 7000. What's up with the dark gradient at the bottom of M31? Is that the fence? :)

Cheers,
Rick.

Thanks Rick!

That's the tree tops blurred out at the bottom of M31.

Cheers,

Justin.

Well that's imaging at the edge! They turned out surprisingly well considering the low altitude.

Cheers

M31 is out of my reach for now from home. I'm hoping it will rise above my shed in summer
Nice shots
