modified DSLR questions

hi Guys,
i was looking to get modified DSLR for astrophotography. does anyone know if any local shop or person do that? i could find some contacts but in UK. could anyone guide me to right direction? i have already invested in Nikon DSLR so i would like to get used Canon 1100 modified only for imaging work.

Hi Avi,
I have done a couple of mods myself. The 1100D is very easy to modify. Others on this forum have a lot more experience than I but I am happy to help you out if you want. A second hand 1100D is a good choice as they are quite cheap and has good pixel size and low noise at high ISOs (relatively speaking of course).

Camera Clinic in Melbourne does it. it is reasonably exy though unless you were planning on doing it yourself I would probably cut to the chase and purchase a cooled & spectrum modified dslr from CDS in korea.

i'd go the cds-600d - they used to have one based off the 1100d but have stopped production of it recently.
