For those not venturing out of the area this month the new moon is Wednesday 24th so does Saturday the 20 th or 27th September sound like a goer weather permitting??

If so I will be up there early (have a key) and looking forward to some good viewing.

Looking forward to meeting up to all those going

I think either might be a goer, Arthur.

Probably best to make hay while the stars shine. If they shine.

Probably car-less this weekend, Geoff ( Inmykombi) possibly coming to my place for a viewing night in the front drive. Will keep all posted

Hi David

The address is the mangrove mountain pony club ( historically known as McKenzie Park) and it is situated on Wisemens Ferry Road Mangrove Mountain

Mike, the originator of Iceinspace has placed a map at the top of star parties, it is quite easy to get to although I have never done it from the wisemens ferry end.

There is a lock on the gate which a number of us have the key to amd some arrive before sunset to get established before nightfall.

If you do make it we look forward to meting you. If you have a CB radio usually sittingon channell 11 these days and just put a call out for the pony club boys ( nothing like the village people)

That is UHF 11...

I'll try to get the Meade coffee grinder up there.

Astropanel suggests a clear night with good transparency, but high humidity ... Dew heaters at 5 paces, methinks.

I probably join you guys if weather is ok. May have few more friends come along

I usually arrive about 1630 to set up before sunset, but that's just me 😄😄.

I do have a key so it's not an issue. Can be there earlier if necessary, it's about 25 minute drive from my place ( at the longest)

See this post

That 2986 address seems to give the wrong result in google maps,
about 200 meters south of where it really is.
