Rick, I'll never tip again. They expect 20% just to drop off a beer :(

It gets really expensive.

hugh, New Orleans is almost the pefect city.

Doesn't bother me, Robin. I'm usually claiming it as expenses when I'm over there

I couldn't. I did buy 6 Heineken stubbies for $6 from Walmart. But everyone charges $7 for a hienie stubbie???? plus tax plus tip. So $10 a stubbie.

So $13 for a burger + $7 for a stubbie = $20. Plus $2 tax plus $4 Tip = $26.

The whole system sucks. An honest days pay for an honest days work is what they need.

It certainly not cheap the way it is.

More pics?

Nice pics, hope you enjoyed your trip!

Personally I'm not convinced the either system there or here (or anywhere else I've visited) works that well for unskilled work...$26/hr in NSW for serving burgers. How does that work out any different?

I love Las Vegas, almost free drinkies. So long as you look as though you're playing the machines. LOL
Glad you had a good time.
The Smithsonian is amazing.

We did the other side of the country this time netty.
I rented a car and drove from JFK to Gettysburg and of course the GPS directed me back through the center of NY and west instead of south as I expected.
The views changed a lot :)

I didn't realise it at the time but the large stuff at the Washington Smithsonian is near Dullies airport, not downtown so we missed a fair bit of it.
