I pushed the data on these 2 targets as much as I dared whilst still trying to retain balance.

1. M78 - 20 minutes total data. Played with false luminence layers, a little noise reduction, and a little colour manipulation and selective tonal changes.

2. NGC55 - 2 hours total data. False luminence layering, selective contrast enhancement

Hmmm, M78 looks washed out now. Back to the drawing board

Fixed M78 I think, while I wait for new data collection possibilities.

Hi Lewis

Yep,need lots of data on both these objects ...you have to start somewhere and you've done that,so good one.

M78 is one of those objects I've never been able to get a decent run at,and it needs lots of data for the very faint surrounding dust.

Hopefully we both get a good run at it in the coming months!

I did get 3hrs and a bit with the FL102S last year to get an OK result - still lacks a LOT of H-a and dust.

I still use Marco's M78 as my inspirational PC background :) I just want to do M78 justice finally, and stop flitting between targets.
