Okay I'm confused. In astronomy if north is up, east is usually left unless there's a prism or something in the optical path right? But on a compass and if I'm lost in the bush, east is to the right of north. So how come it's the other way around for astro? :question:
I better not go hitchhiking in the galaxy - I'd get lost. :screwy:

A normal map is put down on the ground to read, wheras a space chart is put up above your head. That is what flips east and west over. :)

Without magnetic poles I doubt a compass would even work in space. Better use a GPS (Galactic Position System )..:lol:

Colour me confused... just moving down here where the Sun rises on the other side spins me about all the time :sadeyes: I always knew which way to go before :D
