So I was cleaning one of my harddisks when suddenly bam! 50x 300 second exposures of NGC55 were found in a folder. I took them September last year. I have no idea how I forgot to process them, maybe because the 4 and a bit hours worth were noisy and I wasn't confident in my processing, I don't know.
In any case the exposures themselves looked quite good so here is my archaeological wonder for your enjoyment.

Nice work! This is on my 'to do' hit list. Any more details about the acquisition?

Yeah! excellent find Chris, really nice job on the processing too.
This has happened to me a couple of times over the years, cool feeling when you find old data huh?

Thanks guys
Nope just this one. It was in the same folder as my NGC253. I think I ended up processing one and not the other for some reason.
But this is good as it gives me an excuse to get the telescope out and spend more time outside rather than in front of the computer. :)
Sure thing:
Scope: Celestron C8 at f/6.3
Camera: QHY10
Mount: EQ6
52 subs @ 300s taken over 3 nights
Of note as well is that I can't find the flats, and I'm not sure I did flats either so I spent a good deal of my processing time just attempting to flatten massive gradients that resulted.
I think I need to buy a lightbox.
