Three interesting stars taken in full daylight. The colours of Betelguese and Alpha Centauri really stand out in the eyepiece.

Thank for looking :)

Cool!

Years ago before I got goto, I once followed Sirius and a couple of others into daylight with Sun up. It was very exciting being able to see stars in the daytime.

I am amazed that you could do that &
it looks like you didn't have to stack 100 frames to do it -
they are single shots.

cheers

I love your out of the box stuff Tom. FANTASTIC!

The road less travelled is always FAR more interesting.

Thanks guys :)
Hi Allan. These were stacked piccies, I just recorded the equipment and exposure setting. The seeing for Alpha Cen wasn't very good at all so I might give it another go.

Cheers,

Tom

Very interesting. Might be good to try a bright glob like 47 Tuc in daylight.

OK - so they were stacks - I suspected that.

How many in each stack?

Tracked Alphard into sunup a couple of mornings ago with the ED100 and 28mm eyepiece while taking darks for a comet shot. 2012 K1 at mag6 was not bright enough to survive the glare though.

Each video was about 20sec to 1 min at 30fps. Each image had different stack sizes.

so cool...daytime astrophotography not of the sun or moon.
