In my area in Western Sydney unleaded is 132c/l and has been under 140c/l for over a month now. Any reason the prices are so low. Seems that the normal fluctuation from 139c/l up to 152c/l have stopped?

Yeah petrol has been really cheap lately. Almost makes me wanna stockpile some.

There is a fluctuation but its just been small and short compared to last couple of months. The last couple of months had some steep fortnightly fluctuations.

The Perth graph looks like a sawtooth wave in an oscilloscope.

Premium (98) for SWMBO's Passat CC and diesel for my Prado haven't moved much, and prices in the north-west are always higher than in the south-west.

Yes agree, the prices in the west have been around 134c - 136c for the past two weeks, except from Wednesday last week to Saturday, when it peaked at 160c

I just check this site for fuel price updates in my area and fillup when they are reasonable (or when I am running almost E) :D

Petrol prices are mostly a function of crude oil wholesale price and exchange rate.

My car is a little diesel so has quite some range...only filled it up yesterday after a while and was pretty sure the price had changed by almost 20c per litre, but couldn't really remember it was so far back

Glad to hear my memory's not as bad as I was fearing :eyepop:

I paid 153/L for Ultimate yesterday, it's usually around 163/L on a Wednesday, I think the highest I've paid is around 185/L on a weekend :eyepop:

Pardon me for being cynical but I wonder if it has something to do with this?

I've noticed prices staying low on other occasions when the petrol companies have been copping bad publicity.

Almost certainly.

I wish I had to pay those prices.

Where I am It's $168.9 per litre but at least there's no fluctuation. For the moment.
