Would someone please check to see if I have managed to capture two of Uranus' moons last night. I would be very surprised if I have as I was only using the 300D through the 80ED, but I can't find anything else that matches up. Besides they appear on nearly all the images I've been collecting over the past two weeks.
Time was between 10:07 and 10:31 EST 18/8/06
Thanks

Hi Paul
You have nicely captured Oberon (14.2) and Titania (13.9). I was also out last night imaging Uranus and his offspring. Here is my capture through the C9.25 where I have managed to record 4 moons; Oberon, Titania, Umbriel (15.0) and Ariel (14.4). Captured at approx 12:20am.
I have inserted a chart from SkyTools.
Well done!
Cheers

Hi Paul
Scored again. Here is the chart from SkyTools showing you have captured Triton just where he is expected to appear.
Well done!

Ha! two out of two. :D
And you know the best of it. I have images from the past 2 weeks or so so I should be able to put together some sort of animation of the moons orbits

Hi Paul
That is excellent news; they will be great animations of the dynamics of our Solar system. Don't be confused by Triton's "backwards" orbital motion though!
Cheers
