*Price Drop* GSO RC8 Carbon Fibre + Goodies

For sale is my beloved RC8 Carbon Fibre. In excellent condition and optics are in as-new condition. Comes with all the standard accessories plus two extra goodies. Images to follow tonight:

10:1 Linear Focuser (Original that came with the scope was rubbish, I swapped it with another stock focuser and is much better now. Easily handles my Corrector+OAG+FW+QHY9 imaging train, no tilt).

I asked a friend to design and manufacture some front counterweights which can be added if the scope is rear-heavy. Worked a treat on my NEQ6. Can be totally removed if not required. I will include this free of charge.

Note that when the counterweights are removed, the two screws that are seen in the last image can be totally removed so there's nothing left :)

Price now dropped to $890 :thumbsup: I'd like to re-iterate, the front counterweight are totally removable (and disposable for that matter) if you wish to use the scope as stock standard with no mods

Hi everyone,

I have had numerous inquiries and would like to clarify the following:


The focuser on this scope is the new, upgraded focuser. Only the very first few scopes had the old focuser design which was changed promptly :thumbsup:




I still have the original receipt from Bintel where this scope was purchased for peace of mind. Currently Retails for ~$1100.



A different supplier in Sydney is selling the scope for ~$1000 which excludes shipping. They estimate $40 to melbourne, which puts it very close to Bintel's price. Given the hassles of returning to Sydney for any issues, it is easier to deal with a local supplier ;)


Even with all this in mind, I will revise my asking price to only $850. This represents about a third off the retail price :lol: Given the condition of the items and included goodies (including receipt) I think this a very fair price for such a great scope. Thanks for reading!
