My throat feels like I have swallowed a packet of Gem razor blades... the sneezing has started, and it is a PERFECT night up here! THE INHUMANITY! I am not risking making it worse just for some photons.

I decided today to finally rearrange the spare bedroom on the 3rd floor that looks south, remove the windows at night, and image from there. Get's a magnificent view of Orion, so I can start imaging M78 again in earnest for 3 or 4 hours uninterrupted. Initial polar alignment will be a little tricky, but once set, it's set.

It is absolutely stunning out there tonight.

My first focus run just finished; HFD of 1.2 -- that is the lowest I have ever got. :O

You can always get better when the weather goes bad. So, yeah, time to suck it up and go for it. :)

I'm enjoying 10min exposures in the 'burbs atm. That's a first for me... I might even try a longer exposure soon.

Well, sitting outside last night was enough - razor blades in the throat, phlegm, spasm coughing fits.

But it was worth it :)

I never heard of Gem razor blades till two years ago.

Have you gone to a decent Doctor?

There are some around who don't believe in antibiotics unless you are near the really bad. I avoid them, the more drugs the better. Life is too short for toughing it out.

Hope you get well.
Cheers,
Renato

Thing is, I don't feel sick. Sore throat, not much voice, but other than that and the occasional coughing fit and sneeze attack, it's rather sedate.

Thanks anyway.

Automation... heck, I even gave up my autofocus stuff. Not my idea of enjoyment. I actually LOVE focusing, etc. Besides, gets me out of the house...
