Since the other thread is now closed I thought it would be worthwhile to post some background on the recent false claims published in the Australian:

What I found interesting is that some of Australia's data has actually not only been independently assessed by peer-review but also as part of the Berkeley Earth (BEST) project.
Marohasy herself is dependent on funding from a climate-sceptic - she's hardly independent then.
