Spectrum enhanced Canon 450D

For sale is my beloved canon 450 D, modded by Peter Tan in Hong Kong which means the original low pass filter was replaced with a Baader BCF filter that lets through a heck of a lot of H alpha emission.

Body only. Only 4500 or so activations so heaps of life left.

Included are two batteries and also a 240 v power supply, which has come in handy when taking multi-hour images.

I have used this camera only on an astrotrac or a Vixen polarie. There are literally dozens of images on my flickr account but here are some very recent ones

You can use this for daytime happy snaps but will need to set custom white balance, or adjust WB in processing.

You will need to do some colour balance adjusting in processing of astroimages as well

You'll have no problem in stacking these in DSS, just may need to play with the settings.

You'll also need a T ring if you want to use it with a telescope, and software for example, backyard EOS, if you want to do more than nightscape shots.

Overall an absolutely superb camera, hardly used, perfect for astro.

Why am I selling? I just bought a new full frame canon so I am planing to get my 550 D modded by Peter Tan in Hong Kong..and I don't need three DSLRS in addition to the two CCDs I have.

(Note that filter modification itself costs over 200 dollars or so after you include postage to and fro to get the filter replaced)

I am looking for $350 plus postage.
Think that's a bargain.
