Last post from me, promise, I don't want to be hogging the site.
Last night had a decent look at the giant, and was waiting for the GRS, and a shadow. It was way past my bedtime, but feel it was worth it.
Mewlon 180 with Zeiss ortho 16mm (O-16), eyepiece projection.
Seeing was about 7-8/10, and while it could get better (and probably did after I packed it in) I have yet to see it.
Get out there and shoot.
Gary
P.S. I normally use a 2.5x Powermate (so F30), but the seeing wasn't up to it, and the E/P projection allows me some flexibility in image size/scale.

Thats great Gary - I like the way that Io comes up as a yellow disk.

Nice shadow transit, GRS transit and Io disc! Can't ask for much more Gary!

Don't worry about hogging, it's been pretty quiet in the imaging area lately so keep it coming!

Nice image Gary, You might want to image the europa transit and GRS tomorrow morning. You will have to check your local time, but will be worth it.

Nice image Gary, Io kind of makes the shot look 3D'ish.

Paul,
I am on, even if I need matchsticks to prop the eyes open, but I fear we now have that dodgey weather you sent across. I will check though...........

Hi Moonman,

Sorry Gary only GRS is visible. No shadow transits. I was a month out of date or maybe it was a week. I was wrong.

Postscript to my comment,

Yes Birdman's detail is fabulous. I still like your photo because it demonstrates an event i.e eclipse in progress. Right time right place kind of thing.

Thanks
