Folks, raining AGAIN here in Sydney, so I've been peeking at some of the wide field shots I took at AstroFest...
It's not a very good picture, quality-wise, lots of noise - or is it stars? :D This segment was taken from a stack of 6x 5m exposures with the camera mounted on my EQ6 using a Tokina 11-16mm lens at 16mm and f/4.
This one is a crop (and 50% shrink from source) of the area in central Cygnus which had just crossed the meridian - Deneb is the bright star at the bottom of the picture with Sadr up and left from that, and SE from that is Gienah. Then a little more SE is the Eastern Veil trying to poke through.
To the right of Deneb it looks like the North America nebula, with hints of the Pelican.
Lots of good stuff up there in Cygnus, although sadly I never got to see much more than the bright stars due to light pollution when I lived up north
Just wanted to share, surprised the shapes of the nebulosity came out the way they did :)
