A rather interesting, large bright feature in the EZ is resolved in my data from last night, Aug 21st. There is structure associated with it, possibly multiple features close together. It is resolved in 742nm IR, R & RGB data sets. I measure the position of this feature to be centred on approx L1 112.6, L2 120.0, L3 86.5, Lat + 8.0.
This bright feature even shows up in the polar projections of the R & RGB data. Previously I have imaged the occasional bright spot in the EZ but none have been bright enough to see in polar projections. This new feature is certainly more than just a spot.
I have contacted the Cassini Imaging team and Cassini RPWS team just in case there are SED's.
Regards
Trevor
