Hi everyone,

I was going to post this and get people to work out what it was, but decided that was a bit much.
This is a long exposure of Jupiter taken Sunday night out the back of my place.
Focal length: 300mm
Exposure time: 20mins?
ISO: 400
F/9
Canon 350D

It gets a bit windy at home and the camera was on top of a fence post (shaking around a bit) giving this Jupiter this flamey look.

Photo has not been edited other than it has been cropped to a third of its original size.

haha that is excellent.. you could really fool someone with that shot. It really does look like a burning fireball about to crash into earth!

Well done

Great shot. It reminds me of 'My Earth Grazer' that I saw a few Chrismas' ago...without the trail of course. :P
As joe_smith put it, 'Twould have made a great April Fool's Day pic.
