Takahashi in Hong Kong

Does anyone have any experience with this company in Hong Kong

Specifically, I was comparing their prices on Takahashi, as they are significantly cheaper than anything I can find in the US.

Allan, I've bought accessories (not a scope) from Peter, after reading on here that he was legit :D last time I ordered, it was in the mail same day and on the doorstep on the second day afterwards.

Allan, just remember to allow for GST/Freight if your purchase is over $1K.
I got some quotes from Peter Tan but after talking to Claude V. I found that AEC prices were actually so close it was not worth importing as you would have no warranty.

He is also not an official Takahashi dealer so warranty will be an issue.

I know of someone who boaght a couple of Tak scopes there and was able to negotiate a very acceptable price (TOA 130 + 10" Mewlon).

They will not export to Australia. You have to go to HK to buy....

I have spent time in HK for work and built half my house with products bought there at crazy cheap prices. So in hindsight it doesn't surprise me now to find them selling Tak gear so cheap. It would almost be criminal not to buy something!
