Hello all,
Here is a shot of the Milky Way from Brighton in the UK (https://flic.kr/p/oPftjA). I used the Expose to the right method. This is my first attempt at taking the Milky Way. While taking photos, I also saw a bright meteor which I captured in another frame. (I am not sure if this trail is a meteor).
Exp 30 sec, ISO 12800, f/4
Goodness me
I was born in Hove, Brighton. Many years ago.

Wow you have done well with the expose to the right method, been lucky enough to have dark skies and not need it.
Maybe its something I should try at a darker location to test the results,
Cheers

Carl - I never though I could see the milky way with my own eyes from that location! I saw it from the small villages outside (Rottingdean and Woodingdean) but never thought I'd see it with Brighton right behind me!
Perhaps this photo (https://flic.kr/p/oQa6zh) will bring back some more memories? The Rottingdean Windmill. :)

Matt - Many thanks! I was quite pleased as this was my very first attempt at the Milky Way. I also never thought I'd actually manage to have the milky way in my shot from this location (town centre right behind me!)
I'd love to see how ETTR does in a dark location! Do let me know!
Thanks for the comments
