I got so bored with the heavy cloud cover in winter, I thought I would give the ST80 a go on land. The results were very suprising the image quality was excellent delivering very sharp and crisp images. I mounted it on an old sturdy Manffrotto camera tripod with a surplus bar and rings. I took some quick shaky iPhone shots that dont do the ST80 justice however they give an indication of the capability of this little power house scope. The images the show Baader zoom through all its powers 24x 20x 16x 12x 8x.
Im looking foward to getting a nice 45 degree diagnol and better rings to complement the setup and support a DSLR body.

Fair point on the T2 and prime focus thought the advantage of owning a Baader EP is the T threads that accommodates a DSLR connection.

Keep up the good work David, I hope to be heading down to the local reserve for a bit of bird spotting in the near future.
