20 sec I still have to figure out my remote timer for longer

I think I could have gone longer.
At least I know how to find SCP now All set for tomorrow

Good question Raymo. I can't remember if I had it on or not.
I think it was off or it would take minutes before I got a preview.

Managed to find Octantis so I should be able to fine tune my alignment. But I think it was pretty good for this shot. 20 secs and no discernible movement. Well not to my thoughts. I guess that'll change as I get more learnered :)

yep, try to reduce subs to ~60s and take multiple and stack them with DSS. Probably for M42 no need to go longer...depends on ISO etc.:thumbsup:

It would have only have taken 20 secs to get your preview; the same
length of time as your exposure.
