Hello again,

The Bug from tnight.

I was going to do four shots but thought I was probably pushing the limits of the better half a bit so limited it to two...

2 x 785 seconds

Interesting, I'm not familiar with this one. Very bright pink, but relatively small. Interesting stuff! I wonder what it's story is - what type of nebula etc.

Roger.

It's been a while since I seen the little bug.
Nice photo, well done.

Ta
yep It's a tiny little bugger! i should really shoot this at F10 and hopefully I'll have the hang of autoguiding enough in the next few weeks to try this. It would get better resolution but will require almost twice as long imaging time...not sure I'm able to do it well enough yet...but hope to get there
cheers

Hi Frank,

very nice, keen to see what the higher magnified shot will bring out.

Terrific shot of the bug Frank...you should have seen my first attempt of this target..it was fairly ordinery.....lol

Hope you dont mind but this is the bug at F10 I did in July 2006...use it for comparison.

I think it was something like 5 x 7 minute exposures ISO800 from memory.

Thanks guys!

Thansk Tony for the sample too.

I tried to have a go last night but had already slipped behind a big tree!!! no luck...I might try again tonight if I can.

no doubt about it this one has to be shot at F10 for the detail

unfortunately my camera is due for a cleanup I fear it might start showing some "newly discovered black holes" all over the place!
cheers
