Hi there everyone.
I know you are probably getting sick of this series of shots from me, but I don't give in.
Reprocessed this one. Removed the larger stars, now I am pretty happy.
Ha = Red
R = Green
G = Blue
B = Green

Details are looking good. :thumbsup: Plenty of stars left though unless I'm missing something? :question:

Dear Marc and Dunk,
thanks for the feedback.
Marc, Yeah I know, I only removed the really big stars.
I am expecting to acquire the Atik 11000 soon, so I am going to reshoot the whole region soon.
Are there any methods of
a: avoiding the blooming apparent in my previous images; and
b: getting those nice pinpoint stars evident in the attached image?
ANy help is appreciated
Wow! Stars or not Scott, I love it. Really smooth and dreamy.

Some nice detail in the neb there, Scott! What are you using to process? You can probably tame the bigger stars a bit without removing them completely.

At that focal length to get tight stars you need good seeing and guiding. Maybe an AO. Having said that 90% of a good picture will come from processing, deconvolution, star registration etc... A change of camera will help with data but in the end you'll always have to brush up your processing skills. Takes a little time.

Hi Marc and Rick,
I am practicing with the Minimum filter in PS CS6 to reduce the stars. I am at this very moment reworking the entire image, including restacking. Will post when finished
Rick, as I said last night, attached is my hour long exposure
