IC4628 Prawn nebula in NB 42hrs

Taken on an RCOS 10" RC Scope at f9, SBIG STXL6303E Camera and PME mount at itelescopes Siding Spring Observatory.
Processed with CCDstack, Star Tools and Photoshop. 42 hrs Total exposure time.
Ha, SII,Ha,OIII. Mapped as LRGB

Ha 17hrs, 40min subs bin1. SII 13hrs 40min subs bin2, OIII 12hrs 40min subs bin2

I inserted RGB stars thinking that might be a good idea, but their wasnt a lot of colour in them. Suspect they were saturated at capture but the ADUs wernt that high, so I dont know what happened there.

thanks for the kind words Guys. I must say I struggled with the colour, its not overly "pleasing". Im going to try and insert RGB stars more, I tried with this but they all came out white, much to learn.

I really like the composition of this image. It seems almost alive and is very dramatic. It's inspiring me to try more narrow band imaging!!

Great image Fred. What I find amazing about all this is how a familiar object in normal light becomes almost unrecognisable in NB. It's like being able to explore the same object many times over in different ways.
