Hello,

Here is a mosaic of Sunspot 904 taken on 14th and 15th August. The changes are quite noticeable. Note that the 14th was with a x2 Barlow, the 15th with a x2.5 Barlow.

Not the prettiest of images due to the lack of crispness and contrast, but that’s the jet stream! (I hope?)

Cheers

Dennis

Would be great to see a gif of the changing shape every day, taken with the same equipment in the same conditions.. a nice dream to have :) I'm sure someone around the world is working on it :)

Nice comparison Dennis. Huge scale.

Way to go Dennis, keep up the great work.

Mike, adelain is working on it with some of the primary school students at the Mapleton School and Community Observatory. They are getting avies each day at the same time.

Yes. Well done Dennis:thumbsup:

And you too Mike. The images you guys have produced are stunning.

Thanks guys, not the best image but it does show some changes in 24 hours so I guess there is some educational value in the mosaic somewhere.

I'll leave the animation to the Mapleton team as I'm tired of fighting the jet stream and its wobbles.

Cheers

Dennis
