I had a new battery put in my Lorus watch at the local jewellers the other day and since then it just won't go, they obviously want me to buy a new watch!
It's a very inexpensive model I picked up on ebay for almost nothing a couple of years ago, but it's a real favourite, light, slim, very plain face, but most importantly it keeps very good time
Browsing the web I see that with Seiko watches it's possible to reset the watch movement in these circumstances, by connecting the positive terminal of the battery with a point on the watch movement.
I'm wondering if anyone can advise whether this possible with my Lorus watch movement shown in the attached pictures?
Any advice would be appreciated!
Cheers
Chris

Hi Chris,
Have a look at the Skagen range, here http://dstore.com/shop/mens-watches/brands/skagen/
Beautiful watches with amazing warranties and great prices.
Greg.

Hi Chris
I recently bought a Seiko Solar with day/date for $199.00 Dead accurate-same as their Kinetic range, and no batteries EVER. Just check around the major jewellery stores. You can often pick up a cheap Citizen solar powered as well.

Thanks Greg, thanks Laurie,

I've noticed the Skagen range over the past few years, just my style, slim simple and elegant! Still a bit pricey for me, although there is one on Gumtree at the moment for $80. I've also got my eye on a Seiko on ebay.
Thanks again
Chris

"Unlike a watch that fails to keep proper time, a watch that has stopped is accurate twice a day". :)
