After a sleepless night, spent mostly on a mattress in the hallway (a common experience I am told)
The sight that greeted me when I opened my front door made my heart sink.
The tree as pictured over the front of all the cars, bought visions of many trips to the panel beaters.
However to my great surprise, when I backed the cars from under the tree, not so much as a scratch !
I consider that we were very fortunate, given that some others around town were not so lucky.
I think anyone who was a bit complacent about cyclone's in Nhulunbuy & the belief that "we don't get big ones here", will have to think again !

Ian go get a Casket ticket or atleast a scratchy......you are dam lucky.......I am in the car industry it does not take much for a tree branch to scratch a car.....we have had leaves scratch some our cars......

But more importantly...how are the scopes.....did you put the scopes under the table before the kids.....I hope so....

Good to hear all made it through safely Ian! For some reason from the arial photographs you've posted previously I've always had the impression you lived around what looked like a baron airfield where the cattle kept the lawns manicured, but everything looks so green...:D
