Hi Guys,

A spur of moment before i change my mind. Found out that i will be getting a 350D for my birthday (Yay! :) ) :D so won't be using this anymore. This camera has been my main imaging camera. Roughly about 2 months old only. No dead pixels, dust donuts etc. I'm really fussy and takes good care of my equipment. It has an internal tempreture reading and you can take darks according to the temp reading which will automatically subtracts it for you. Great for the changing climate. From experience, this camera has much lower noise, smaller pixels, more sensitive than the DSI-C.

Some info on the Meade DSI II:

http://www.meade.com/dsi_ii/specifications.html

Comes with box, manuals, accessories, CD etc all in new condition.

You can see some of my DSI II work here:

I'm asking $700 (postage included in Aust)

Cheers.

I would recommend you keep it and use it as a guiding camera.
Also you could use it to do Astrometric work or other things that a DSLR wont do.
I would keep it a little longer first, and see if your happy with the DSLR.
I have both a CCD and a DSLR, and would not sell either.

Just something to make you a little confused..

I thought the same thing Gama but realised he already has the DSI 1 and 2 so I dont blame him selling one off to finance some more equipment.

I would sell the DSI, rather than the DSI II !.

thanks for the advice gama. Tony is right. I have a DSI-C as well for autoguiding purpose so thats why i want to sell off the DSI II. I guess i was thinking I wouldnt need a DSI II for guiding as a DSI-C will do just fine. Just need that extra $$ for other equipment purpose as well.

Thanks guys.

price slashed again! This time final. If no buyers, i will then sell the DSI-C. c'mon guys, this is an awesome camera. excellent for starters and even pro. easy to use. This is not the DSI-C. A huge improvement of it.

Hello,
I am just entering the market for a DSI II.
Not sure of the right price for a second hand one, but assuming it is in good condition as you state, I'll offer you $500, posted to Sydney.
Lothar.

thanks for your interest Lothar. But I rather keep it than to sell it for $500. Im not that 'that' desperate for cash. As i said, i only had this camera for about 2 months which is practically brand new. You can check my images i have taken and view the date & times. Condition of the camera.. well im sure my images will tell you abit about it and being a dedicated member here, i won't run off with your money.

Hello Eric,
Is there still a warranty on it? Would it transfer?
Where did you buy it from?
Lothar.

Hi Lothar. I purchased it from Bintel in Melbourne 2 months ago so there should be plenty of warrenty left.

I'd prefer (and I think Eric would too) that negotiations are done via privately PM, please.
