Hi all,
Here are some of my shots from last nights Saturn Occultation.
You can see in the first image as the Moon approaches Saturn that Saturn looks dimmer than the rest of them, thanks clouds... At least they parted when the actual business end of the event took place. Images are 4 minutes apart.
The other picture is a wide angle shot of the Moon and Saturn with my 200mm lens earlier that evening.
It was a great event to watch (I missed the other 2 earlier this year) and was fascinating seeing Saturn's brightness slowly dim away to nothing. It's amazing that we can see things in the solar system change like that right before our eyes.
