Cosmic Ocean - Nautilus, Jelly Fish and sand worms.

Hi,

While waiting for the Helix to rise I imaged NGC 6559 and friends after seeing Pauls image.

It reminds ne of a cosmic ocean, never imaged this region before and was surprised how it's come up with only 90 minutes of data.

Rich colourful region even with an unmodded DSLR.

Unmodded canon 1100D, baader type III coma corrector.

18 x 5 minute subs, ISO 1600.
Stacked in DSS, processed in PS7 and Cs2.

Very nice for such a comparatively short exposure Justin. As some of the responders have said I wouldn't be rushing out to buy a CCD. A DSLR obviously works very well for you.
